EPSDT is a special health care program for children and youth ages 20 and under who may have Medicaid or who are presumptively eligible for Medicaid. Under EPSDT, Medicaid eligible Children and youth can get

• health and mental health checkups,
• nutrition checkups
• dental checkups,
• baby shots
• other tests

There is no fee for EPSDT check-ups. If the EPSDT screening finds that your child has health problems EPSDT will provide that care. If the screens show your child may have mental health problems EPSDT will provide that treatment through the Medicaid Mental Health Program and refer people to NBHP.
